I have two brothers and I am the middle child. With my introvert spirit in full mode 24/7 sometimes I wish I had a real sister that I could escape with and just be the two of us dreaming, laughing our souls out, dancing like nobody is watching, and lifting each other up when life gets a bit cray, cray.
Sometimes friends can be like blood related siblings for some people. I have only experienced that feeling once in my life and in all honestly it’s been a lot harder than I anticipated to find that sister/friend again as an adult and specially in another culture.
Meanwhile…I will do my best to enjoy what has been handed to me in terms of ‘friends’
At the end of the day I will always choose the girl in the mirror.
