Some times many things happen all at once and by things I mean things that were not on the to do list.
Lately it seems that this has become the norm and for a type A person like me those type of last minute scenarios are one of the most energy draining things. As a business owner, I have to stick to a very strict schedule, calendar, to do list, etc in order to deliver everything that needs to be deliver on a daily basis.
Most of the times when these last minute things just pop up they really interfere with other important things. The sad part of this is that people that do not run a business may not understand how last minutes things really affect not just the business itself but the person operating the business. Some examples could be, showing up unannounced, not booking an appointment, etc…
Sometimes tasks of equal importance get compromised when last minute things happen. Needless to say, while I wished I was an octopus and can help everyone at once, it is just not possible to deliver quality work when being pulled in different directions. Reason why I am very discipline and it shows with my actions on how I run my business. I believe it is also very important to voice things out so we all can help each other in this process.
This does not happen all the time but when it does…LOL!
